Calistoga Lovin'

Head in the clouds: Wake early and fly high with Calistoga Balloons. The Valley views, and that look in your partner’s eyes, are sure to take your breath away during this bucket-list hot air balloon ride.

Perk up with your person: Pop into Sam’s General Store for coffee, pastries, croissants, and a stroll through the historic surroundings. Bond and browse: Find the perfect gift for each other at Blackbird of Calistoga, which features uniquely designed jewelry and household décor from independent makers.

Bathing beauties: Heat things up with a private couples’ bath at MoonAcre Spa & Baths. Choose from an array of bath salts to soothe, relax, and reconnect.

Wooing over wine: Take things slow at Bennett Lane Winery with a private tasting, and take time to admire the natural beauty at one of Calistoga’s friendliest wineries.

Oui oui: Calistoga’s intimate, French bistro, Evangeline Restaurant, is perfect for date night. Craft cocktails and a menu that blends flavors of New Orleans, Napa, and Paris, are sure to satisfy.

Adventure Junkies

Shop local: Open Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm, meet the area’s best artisans and growers at the Calistoga Farmer’s Market. Grab a few items for a picnic lunch or gifts to take home.

A fresh perspective: The 8.3 mile old stage coach route, the Oat Hill Mine Trail, is steps away from the hotel. Climb to the top for one of the best views of Calistoga, and break out that picnic you gathered at the market.

For the birds: Bouchaine Vineyards in Napa Valley’s southern Carneros region uses falcons to keep grape-eating birds at bay. Taste your way through some of the best pinot noir and chardonnay in the Valley.

Slide into bliss: After a day of exploring, the new Sliders treatment at MoonAcre Spa & Baths is just what you need. This is our fresh take on the 2,000-year-old practice of cupping.

Sip and spin: Make day two an active adventure. Clif Family Winery offers a variety of cycling excursions that begin with coffee and end with a wine tasting and food pairing at their namesake tasting room. Take in some of the best views of the Valley while cruising around on a carbon fiber bike.

Adventurous eater: Back at Clif Family Winery, check out their food truck’s menu. With Mediterranean and worldly influences, there’s always something new and tasty to nibble.

Curious Epicurean

Stop and go: Grab Priority Bikes on property and pedal to Downtown Calistoga. Lincoln Avenue Brewery, affectionately called the LAB, features a variety of craft brews.

Try something new: Tedeschi Family Winery offers just that — sample their rare-for-this-region Viognier and Valdiguié wines.

Duck, duck, goose: Goose and Gander in Saint Helena has the longest list of craft cocktails in Napa Valley, a historic bar, and an extensive menu (the Liberty Duck Breast is delectable).

Day two detox: After a day’s worth of tastings, start fresh with a CBD Soak at MoonAcre Spa & Baths. Derived from industrial hemp, CBD intensifies relaxation without leaving you high. Our CBD salts will double your detox.

Feel the heat: Buster’s Southern BBQ features all the classics – tri-tip, pulled pork, ribs, and more – served with a heaping helping of Louisiana charm and house-made hot sauce.

Before you go: Sample straight rye whiskey aged in chardonnay barrels, Meyer lemon-flavored brandy liqueur, and more at Napa Valley Distillery. This speakeasy spot is 45 minutes from Calistoga in downtown Napa.
