1. Hop on bikes and go wine tasting.
Feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face while exploring Calistoga this summer. Ride along wine trails and stop often for wine tastings, or cruise downtown and grab some local eats.
2. Hike the Oat Mine Trail.
Steps from your room, you'll find the trailhead to the 8.3 mile old stage coach route, known as the Oat Hill Mine Trail. You'll be safely social distancing and enjoying fresh air along with one of the best views of downtown Calistoga from the top. Afterwards, stop in at Tank Winery for a tasting, or...
3. Lay low and soak away stress.
Once you're here, make the most of your time by relaxing, poolside. Soak in our three mineral pools, all fed by underground hot springs. After a good soak, kick back in on the pool deck, meditate in the spa garden, or catch up on some zzz's. That's right, permission granted.
4. Sip your way through Calistoga's open-air tasting rooms.
We're thrilled that tasting rooms have re-opened. Sip rosé overlooking a vineyard or head downtown. New safety protocols include reservations required, emphasis on outdoor tastings, group sizes up to 4-6 people, winery staff expected to wear masks, guests asked to wear masks outside of tasting.
A few of our favorites include Clif Winery, Tank Winery, T-Vine Winery, Castello di Amorosa, and Tamber Bey Vineyards. Be sure to plan ahead and make an appointment.
5. Dine al fresco.
Pack a picnic from the weekly Farmer's Market, or visit a local restaurant with outdoor seating. Clif Family Winery is home to one of our favorite food trucks (perfect wine tasting combo, in our opinion), while Evangeline, La Prima Pizza, and Lovina, offer patio dining.
